January 2009

Happy New Year!
We are excited about 2009.
We have decided to stay put in Coolum for a little while longer.
Matt has a new job a little closer to home.
We have adjusted (mostly?!) to having two cherubs at home now
.... onwards and upwards, I say!!
After our return from Fiji, we ventured on to Stanthorpe to spend some time with Matt's folks. Kaleb really enjoyed being at Ma and Poppy's with lots of fun things to do like chase bubbles, walk down to the dam and catch lobbies!!
Here's Poppy with one of the catch!
Ma is not really keen to 'give him a kiss'!

Kaleb, although he wouldn't touch them, savoured every moment of his lobby adventure!
Here he is ready to release them back into the dam .... so he can catch them next time!

Letting the lobbies go....

Indi and Ma sharing a moment.

Here is an interesting comparison of Indi and Kaleb.
This photo of Indi was taken at Nev and Fay's at Christmas 2008.
Indi is 3 months old.

This photo of Kaleb (in the same chair) was taken at Nev and Fay's at Christmas 2006.
Kaleb was almost 4 months old.
Back at home after our big trip away, we spent the rest of January hanging out at home.
Here are a few photos of the kids...

Indianna - 3 1/2 months old.

The two sausages playing together....
Kaleb giving instructions on how to press the buttons so the music plays...

Indi is more interested in Kaleb however....

We realise just how big the K Man is when he is lying next to little Indi!

Kaleb and Laura

Laura, Kaleb and Indianna...

Kaleb received a trampoline for Christmas (or his 'happy birthday Jesus present' - as he calls it). After a few uncertain jumps, he is now bouncing like a kangaroo, doing seat drops and the other day told me he was going to try attempting a 'head spin' (much to my horror!) :)

We spent a bit of time during January getting in an cleaning up around the garden. Part of this project was getting the driveway asphalted. For us, it's been a project we've wanted to do for a few years (no more Ford drivers getting bogged in the driveway!) but for Kaleb it was a little boy's dream-come-true to have a bobcat, a dump truck and a roller all in your own front yard!

Kaleb had a front row seat...

...and even took over the driver's seat!

Here comes the asphalt...
The end result.

We've started putting Kaleb and Indi in the bath together after dinner. Kaleb is happy to share 'his' bath with his sister....and likes to help wash Indi by tipping water over her.
Except there was the time he 'washed' her face....

Any resembleance?

"Can you take a photo of me, please Mum?"

Kaleb giving his little sister a big kiss!

We also took a daytrip to check out a top secret camping spot...
...that we are not telling Sharne and Nikolas about.

Here is Indi, who spent most of the day attempting to eat her whole hand.

Kaleb had fun in the creek....

...but Matt had more fun driving through it!

More to come....when I get time to upload some more photos.....
