August was the 'birthday' month in our house, celebrating Matt's birthday and an early birthday for Kaleb with Poppy and Ma. The picture below is Kaleb's new 'wheels'. It took him a few days to get the hang of it....and then he became unstoppable! Here is Matt giving Kaleb his first ever driving lesson...
We had been having mostly wonderful weather lately. Toby loves to have a 'lazy' afternoon (most days!). He is asleep in this photo. Just wonder what he's dreaming about??
On our visit from Ma and Poppy, we stopped for lunch at a lovely tea house up on the range. If you're ever visiting Mapleton Falls, stop at the little tea house just before the car park - well worth it! We played a game of 'catch' in the yard. The K Man's smiles and laughter were incredibly contagious.
A country boy at heart?
A lovely visit to Ruddle's farm also gave us the opportunity to introduce Kaleb to cows and a little rural excitement....lots of grass and fresh air.

Another birthday we celebrated in August was Laura's brother Ian. Ian is also heading off to USA this month to embark on the adventure of living and studying in another country.

We saw Ian off at the Brissy Airport on 23rd August. Here's Kaleb having a last cuddle with Uncle Ian for a little while. It will probably be at least a few months, possibly a year before we see Ian again.
