As with most one year old's, there is a lot of fuss made and they probably have no idea what it's all about.... Indi was truly spoilt this year. Thanks Nanna and Grandad, Ma and Poppy, Kaleb, Trudy and Shaun for your wonderful gifts....

Here's a photo of Kaleb at the kite festival... we wandered down the beach for a sticky at all the kites. It was a gorgeous day, but two tired children and a bit of sunburn later.... we headed home for lunch and a sleep..note to self - Kaleb cannot walk from Coolum to Stumers AND back again.....

Kaleb's little garden is coming along nicely. Thanks Poppy for your huge imput in getting lots of veges planted. Kaleb is growing tomatoes, lettuce, beans, parsley and garlic chives. Hmmm, none of which he will eat at the moment, but maybe if it comes from his special garden it might be different.... He waters them almost everyday and insists on checking daily to see if they are ok (ie he actually picks up the pot and asks the plant how they are doing.... 'tis very cute...)
Still on the kite theme... Matt bought a kite home for Kaleb.
They had fun flying it down the beach one afternoon...
...until (just moments after this photo was taken), Kaleb let go of the string - which hit Matt in the face on the way past - and the kite went flying off down the beach. 150m down the beach, it got caught in a tree. Matt managed to work out which tree and climb up to untangle it....
